Michael Rosenbaum is the Director of Accounting & Tax, Business Development, at Hartwell & Wolf and has been in the industry since 1980. He ensures that clients receive an experience that is efficient, effective, and accurate in the areas of tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes. He serves as a technical reviewer and planner and is a business consultant to entrepreneur clients. He also recruits and supervises the professional accounting staff. Mike enjoys working with people to solve their financial challenges. He’s able to map out realistic plans for clients in a way they’ll understand, and his main goal is to help clients feel more confident about a topic that is often complicated or frustrating for some. Throughout his career, he has worked in auditing and tax in public accounting and has served in both the public and private sectors and in both domestic and international entities. He has worked for companies including Grant Thornton, Crowe Horwath LLP, CTS Corporation and Wolf and Company. He was also on the faculty at Indiana University South Bend and taught accounting and has been a guest lecturer at other universities and colleges. Mike graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY), and minored in Education. He also attended Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1989. Mike is happily married since 1986 and met his wife the first night away at college. They have two sons. He is a supervisor for the City of La Porte Babe Ruth League. Mike held past leadership roles in the Boys Scouts of America and was elected Town Council member of Mount Arlington, New Jersey, for 7 years.
